Humanoid Robotics System Design

Developing humanoid platforms requires a deep understanding of power dynamics and mechanical constraint. Drawing on years of hands-on experience helping partners build and scale complex humanoid hardware, we provide full system-level electrical and network architecture.

  • Whole-Body Power Distribution: Designing safe, high-efficiency power networks capable of handling massive transient currents from high-torque motors.

  • Deterministic EtherCAT Architecture: Designing robust internal communication backbones utilizing EtherCAT to connect dozens of sensors and actuators, managing master/slave interfacing to eliminate latency bottlenecks.

  • Subsystem Integration: Packaging complex electronics and high-density communication routing into tight, mechanically constrained structural frames and moving joints.

Expert Electrical & Embedded Firmware Design

We deliver production-ready, rugged, and high-density PCBAs engineered for demanding environments. Our engagement is entirely modular: we can design the hardware and write the low-level code concurrently for a turnkey solution, or focus strictly on the electronics and deliver clean, bring-up-ready boards to your internal software team.

  • Power Electronics & Custom Drivers: Custom motor drives, battery management systems, and power regulation optimized for high efficiency and low-level safety-critical protection.

  • Custom EtherCAT Slave Development: Designing specialty EtherCAT communication cards and custom slave devices, with the ability to integrate custom low-level slave firmware stacks tailored to your specific application.

  • Complex, High-Density PCB Design: Advanced multi-layer and rigid-flex layouts engineered for complex geometries and high-noise environments. We deliver fully brought-up hardware, with the option to include custom firmware for high-frequency sensor integration (IMUs, force-torque, encoders) depending on your requirements.

  • Power Management Board: Designed and developed the core power management hardware and low-level firmware to handle complex power sequencing, transient currents, and distribution for the entire platform.

  • Motor Control Carrier Boards: Engineered high-density, rugged carrier boards optimized for high-performance actuation and tight structural integration within the robot's limbs.

  • EtherCAT Communication Boards: Developed custom, ultra-low-latency communication hardware to ensure reliable, deterministic, real-time data flow across the robot's high-degree-of-freedom architecture.
